DIRECTORS & ADVISORS

The management group of the Company has a wealth of experience in the management and operations of large scale projects, plants, and real estate developments. Brief descriptions of the Directors and Members of the Advisors of the Company are given below.

BALJINDER SANDHU

President

Bal graduated from the University of British Columbia in 1973 with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Chemical Engineering. He has over 45 years of management experience in design, construction and operations of facilities valued from a few million dollars to over a billion dollars. He has held numerous senior positions (Project Director, Project Manager and Project Engineer) in major industrial projects and operations of plants. He has the ability to analyze projects for viability, construction methods, project schedules and critical paths, cost control and reporting, and financial support for projects. Bal gained his business experience by working and living across Canada, Europe and Asia. He is a registered licensed builder (BC Housing License #43245) and has been involved in the residential and industrial building construction and management in the Surrey area for the last 8 years. 

ANUP LOODU

Executive Director

Anup is a well-established businessman in Surrey. He has over 30 years of experience in land development, construction of light industrial complexes, and operations of industrial and commercial facilities. He is the founding partner of the Khalsa Business Center located on 128 St and 84 Avenue in Surrey. Subsequently, this area has become the hub for Indo-Canadian retail, manufacturing and distribution businesses. Anup also built, owned and operated the Grand Taj Banquet Hall for five years. At the time of construction, it was the leading banquet facilities in the Fraser Valley. Mr. Loodu was the sole owner, developer and builder of the business complex located on 152 St and 68 Ave. The complex consist of a Sikh Temple and commercial outlets. He owns the building occupied by the Dukh Niwaran Sahib Sikh Temple at this location while selling off the commercial units. In 1985, he established A-1 Truss Ltd., a successful truss manufacturing facility. Anup owned and operated A-1 Truss until 2019, when he sold it. Under Mr. Loodu's leadership, A-1 Truss was a leading supplier of wood trusses for commercial and residential buildings in the Lower Mainland. 

PAWAN SANDHU

Director of Projects

Pawan is currently the Director of Projects at LionEstate Construction Ltd., and he oversees all construction management operations: design, feasibility studies, permit applications, consultant coordination, general project management, and site supervision. He has completed all coursework in the seven areas of core competency required to obtain a Builders License from BC Housing. Pawan graduated from Simon Fraser University in Applied Physics, obtained a master’s degree in Engineering Physics from McMaster University, and was admitted to the PhD program in high energy physics at the University of Toronto in 2008 but withdrew from the program in 2010.  Pawan worked in the advertising technology business in New York City, where he provided client insights and optimization recommendations via big data analysis. He has also worked on several software development projects, in either a consultative or development role. He has extensive experience with analytics and hi-tech problem solving in general, applying the techniques he acquired during his undergraduate and graduate studies in physics. In addition, Pawan has worked in the financial services industry, where he provided quantitative analysis and technical support for high frequency trading on the Canadian and US financial exchanges.

AMAN SANDHU

Business Advisor

Aman has accumulated 15 years of Commercial Banking experience, currently based out of Toronto.  Aman's current role is Associate Vice President, TD Auto Finance.  Aman is responsible for all commercial financing and cash management for dealerships located in Ontario and The Atlantic Provinces. Currently managing a team of over 20 people- Aman is responsible for over $2B in authorized credit volume and the overall growth of the portfolio. Aman is known to generate new business opportunities by leveraging strong relationships within the finance community- accountants, lawyers, private equity and other lenders. Previous roles include head of Sales & Client Relationships at TD's Toronto Commercial Centre and Sr. Manager Commercial Credit at TD's Midtown Toronto Centre.

RAND BUCKLEY

Legal Advisor

Rand has been practicing for 31 years and is a partner in Buckley Hogan.  The firm started in 1968, when Glen Buckley opened the first law office on Scott Road in Delta.  Glen was joined by his brother, Wayne, and they became Buckley & Buckley.  Later, Rand and Sean Hogan joined them and on January 1, 2000 Sean and Rand became the owners of the firm and renamed it Buckley Hogan.  In 2005, after 36 years on Scott Road, the firm moved to a new office in Surrey.  Buckley Hogan is a full service law firm that can assist with real estate, sales, purchases, mortgages, subdivisions, company and business law, civil litigation, wills and estates. The firm's lawyers and staff have strong community ties to Surrey and Delta. Buckley Hogan has a long history of helping the residents of the surrounding area and participates in local groups, service clubs and business associations which serve the people of the community.

INAM QURESHI

Finance Advisor

A seasoned banker with over a decade in the Commercial Lending Space, Inam has held several senior level roles with major Canadian banks such as Bank of Montreal, Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce & TD Canada Trust. Presently, he is the Founder & Principal at Syndicate Lending Corporation (SLC), a boutique commercial mortgage brokerage licensed by the British Columbia Financial Services Authority that focuses predominantly on Multi Family Development projects. SLC with offices both in Vancouver & White Rock has amassed a funding volume in excess of 1 Billion since its inception in 2015. He is a also a board director of Delta Pacific Mortgage investment Corporation, a public entity that is regulated by the BC Securities Commission. Inam was ranked number 34 among the Top 75 Mortgage Brokers across Canada by CMP Magazine for the year 2020. Furthermore, he has twice been nominated as a finalist for The Avison Young Award for the Broker of the Year – Commercial by Canadian Mortgage Awards for the years 2019 & 2020 respectively. He embodies three core values; Patience, Persistence & Perseverance. In his spare time, he serves in various capacities on the boards of several Non-Governmental Organizations in Canada.

NARINDER JOHAL

Business & Tax Advisor

Narinder graduated from Leicester University (UK) in 1982 with a degree in law (LLB (Hons)). In 1982 Narinder joined Price Waterhouse Coopers (PWC) (UK), qualifying as a UK Chartered Accountant in 1986. Narinder transferred from PWC UK to PWC Canada (Vancouver) in 1989, and qualified as a Canadian Chartered Accountant in 1994. Narinder left PWC Vancouver in 1993, as a Senior Manager specializing in income tax, to become a founding partner in Kanester Johal LLP, a CPA firm. For the past 27 years Narinder (and Kanester Johal LLP) have provided general business advise and income tax advise to numerous clients, in diverse industries (including real estate), both locally and worldwide. Narinder is actively involved in community and business associations, as well as in the Terminal City Club and the Vancouver Golf Club.
