Surrey Studio City, originally the Post Media facility for printing the Vancouver Sun and The Province, was purchased as an empty building in 2015. The total land area is 13.81 acres and the building area is 197,000 sf. Improvements were added to the building to convert the facility to a major filming studio. In the recent past, SkyDance, a major Hollywood producer, produced two seasons of a Netflix series called Altered Carbon at the Surrey Studio City facilities.
Today, the Surrey Studio City facilities are leased to multiple film production companies.
